Andrew Crumey
Andrew Crumey studied theoretical physics before publishing his first novel in 1993. It won the Saltire Award and established him as a uniquely original voice in Scottish writing. He won the prestigious Northern Rock Foundation Writer’s Award in 2006 for his sixth novel, Sputnik Caledonia. He was literary editor of the newspaper Scotland on Sunday for several years, and now lectures in creative writing at Northumbria University in north-east England.
