Dejan Popov

Dejan Popov was born in Zrenjanin in 1971. After several stories published in magazines and years spent in the musical and fanzine underground scene, he made his debut with the novel Formalin. Father, husband and worker, he is a supporter of Bolton Wanderers and Borac from Aleksandrovo.

Jana Radičević

Jana Radičević, born 1997 in Podgorica. She studied German language and literature at the University of Montenegro. She also studied German studies on universities in Marburg, Germany and Graz, Austria as an exchange student. Currently, she is a master’s student at the University of Würzburg in Germany. She is an active member of the Forum of Young Writers community, whose members have been assembling at the Cultural Information Centre Budo Tomović in Podgorica since 2015. Her first book of poetry ako kažem može postati istina (if said, it can become the truth) was published in 2019 by Partizanska knjiga from Serbia. Her poetry was translated in German, English, French, Macedonian, Albanian, Russian, Slovenian and Greek. She is a youngest holder of the literature scholarship Writer of the City of Graz for 2020/21.

Pascal Rebetez

Marie Redonnet

Marie Redonnet was born in 1948. After studying literature (she wrote her thesis on Jean Genet), she taught art and language. She later worked at the French Embassy in Morocco. Since her first novel in 1986, Marie Redonnet has been creating a fascinating body of works which sway between tales and scalpel, always enshrouded in her powerful imagination and questioning the world in which we live. Apart from the short-story collection, she has written both plays and novels.

Manon Stefan Ros

Manon Steffan Ros worked as an actress before becoming a writer. She writes for adults and children and has won the Wales Book of the Year for her adult fiction as well as being four-times winner of the Tir na N’Og Welsh children’s literature award. She has also won Eisteddfod and National Theatre Wales awards for her drama writing. She lives in north Wales with her partner, sons and daughter.

Saša Savanović

Saša Savanović (1986, Novi Sad) writes prose, essays and non-fiction. She has published stories and texts in numerous magazines and anthologies in the country and abroad. Her first novel, Deseti život (Tenth Life), has been shortlisted for the 2018 NIN Award. She is the co-author of several research publications. She works as an independent researcher and program editor.

Lisa Samuels

Lisa Samuels is a transnational writer and artist. She’s the author of fourteen books, from The Seven Voices (1998) to Breach (2021), as well as many poetry chapbooks and influential essays on theories of the body, ethics, art and language. Lisa’s performance work, sound art and visual art has exhibited internationally, and she often collaborates with composers and movement artists. US born and having also lived in Europe, the Middle East, and Malaysia, Lisa is now in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Mekana Devojka is the first translation of her novel Tender Girl.

Steve Sem-Sandberg

Steve Sem-Sandberg was born in Oslo, Norway, in 1958. He is one of the most famous and recognized Swedish writers. He works as a literary critic for the leading newspaper Dagens Niheter in Stockholm. His novel The Emperor of Lies (Swedish: De fattiga i Łódź) won the most prestigious Swedish literary award, the August Prize, in 2009 and since then it has been translated into twenty-seven languages. The novel The Chosen Ones (Swedish: De utvalda) has also been successful. It received the Prix Médicis prize in France for the best translated novel in 2016 and the Prix Transfuge prize for the best European novel. His latest novel The Tempest (Swedish: Stormen) was published in 2016. He lives in Stockholm and Vienna.
