Aleksandra Bajazetov (born 1969) graduated from the Department of German Language and Literature in Belgrade and obtained her master’s degree from the Department of General Literature and Literary Theory. She has been translating since 1992, mainly prose and essays from German and English, and until recently was a member of the editorial board at Fabrika knjiga. Among the authors she has translated are Maria Todorova, Hannah Arendt, Aleida Assmann, Helmut Dubiel, David Crystal, Inka Parei, Stef Jansen, Niall Griffiths, Victor Klemperer, Günter de Bruyn, Arno Schmidt, Wolfgang Koeppen, Khushwant Singh, Sherko Fatah, Deniz Ohde, and Ilan Pappé.
