Anna Sedláčková is a translator of Czech-Serbian origin. She actively translates into both languages, mainly from Latvian and Lithuanian. She studied in Prague and Helsinki. She has translated the works of several leading Latvian and Lithuanian authors (Nora Ikstena, Inga Gaile, Ilze Jansone, Dalia Grinkevičiūtė) into Czech. In addition to literary translation, she is involved in linguistic research. Together with her colleagues at the Livonian Institute of the University of Latvia, she works on the revitalization of the endangered Livonian language in Latvia.
