Bojana Kovačević Petrović

Bojana Kovačević Petrović (born 1971, Zrenjanin) graduated, obtained a master’s degree, and a PhD in Spanish language and Hispanic literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She is employed as an associate professor at the Department of Italian and Ibero-American Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. She has published dozens of scientific articles and essays on the literary work of Spanish and Latin American writers, edited several anthologies, and translated about thirty books, including works by Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Ernesto Sabato, Zoé Valdés, and others. She works as a literary translator, legal, simultaneous, and consecutive interpreter. She is a member of the Association of Literary Translators of Serbia. She was awarded the Order of Isabella the Catholic for her contribution to the promotion and popularization of the Spanish language and culture. She lives in Novi Sad.
