Shieh Zifan

A passionate yet impartial observer. A wanderer at heart and across the world.

Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, she has lived in several cities and currently spends her days in Taipei. She has worked in advertising, developed marketing strategies, and occasionally worked as a translator; she is now engaged in literary writing.

She is the recipient of the Taipei Literature Award and the China Times Literary Award, and her works have been selected multiple times for the annual anthology of contemporary Taiwanese literature, Nine Poems. Her essay collection Me and the Garbage Truck I Try to Catch was shortlisted for Taiwan’s Golden Literary Award.
