Nétonon Noel Ndjékery was born in Moundou, Chad. His career as an author began with his first short story published by Radio-France Internationale. Since then, he has lived on the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. In his writings, he writes short stories, plays and novels like Sang de kola (“Kola blood”), Chroniques tchadiennes (“Chadian Chronicles”), Mosso, La minute mongole (“The Mongolian Minute”) and Au petit bonheur la brousse(“In the Bush”). In 2017, he received Le Grand Prix Littéraire National du Tchad for of his works. There is no Rainbow in Heaven has been awarded Le Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique noire (2022), Le Prix Hors Concours (2022) and Le Prix Lettres Frontières (2023).
