Nikola Mladenović

Nikola Mladenović (Johnny Mauna) was born in Novi Sad in 1986 and lived in Sombor for the first two years. His mother and brother were born in Niš, and his father on Jastrebac. He grew up in New Belgrade’s Block 22. From 2008 to 2012, he was involved in contemporary dance. In the following years, he continued exploring movement through free dance and contact improvisation. He has been writing since 2018, and since the end of 2021, he has been organizing poetry evenings called Ponekad u osam (Sometimes at Eight). His poetic expression is rounded out in the poetry book Jasni izbori (Clear Choices).
